littleleggygt
So I have a VF 52 turbo and my tuner says they over boost so to stop it I need a ewg is this true or is he trying to make me spend more money on this build Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Infosecdad
If you overboost it’s not usually because of the VF-52. A bunch of us have them without EWG without any issues with over boosting.
NORULZleggy
I am going to say tuner wants your money. I would find another one. I have ran EWG on my 09 WRX and It would over boost with EWG lol. I do miss the sound and the souls that jumped out of peoples body as it would rev limit when their windows were down . The look on their faces is always priceless . shralp
Are you running an aftermarket intake? They will cause boost creep when coupled with the VF52. Cobb Surgeline had me take my Cobb intake off and put the stock one back on to alleviate the problem when they tuned it.
gkinslow
A catless down pipe can also cause overboosting issues. EWG gives the tuner better control over boost pressures in general. It comes down to whether or not you trust your tuner. If the answer is no, then you should be using a different tuner.
