krishk24
Hello I am looking to buy an exterior car cover. my car is in the garage when I am home but not so when I am at work. One of my colleagues mentioned that the paint losing its shine and interior losing its look over the years, is mostly due to UV damage due to the constant exposure to sun. I am not so sure but I dont want to take a chance I am looking to spend $100 - 250 roughly Any recommendations ?
jMeG
Cheap covers will blow away in the wind. You'll need something custom fit. Also, you should really consider a quality detail and wax job first. This shouldn't be an issue. https://www.weathertech.com/products/car-covers/
TTG
I agree with jMeG. A properly maintained polished / waxed paint will stay shinny for a long time. There is also nothing worse than putting a cover on a dirty car (I doubt your are going to dust off the cover and wipe the paint everyday) I would go get it detailed and ceramic coated and call it a day vs dealing with a cover and creating more damage. For interior, get the windows tinted and use a proper sunshade.
Max Capacity
Have to agree, a car cover over dirt will create scratches quickly. How many cars in the parking lots have covers on them...there's a reason for that... 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).
