I have a 2006 Legacy GT (manual) 2 years ago rebuild the engine, brand new small block, remachined heads, etc... not the problem but information none the less. a few days ago I got off the highway, doing a modest 125km/h for about 35 mins. I pull into a parking space and couldn't get into Reverse at all, it felt like i was hitting a wall but the car would still drive 1-5. I let it sit for a half hour and it finally let me into reverse. Drove the car today, I can still get into reverse but my reverse lights stay on all the time now... even when driving forward. Is it a new transmission? electrical issues? Max Capacity Posted September 10, 2019 Share Posted September 10, 2019 On the drivers side of the tranny are two switches, the lower one is the back up light switch. I'd pull the wire connector and see if the lights go out. Then pull the switch and see if it shifts better. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
