With 160k miles on the original motor and turbo, they a crap shoot at this mileage and age. If a replacement motor and turbo are not in your budget, I would look for a different vehicle.

I would agree with this UNLESS you come upon a vehicle with a long history with a single owner. In my experience, those cars tend to be better taken care of and are more likely to have meaningful maintenance/repair/upgrade records.

at 160K? nope, 100% pass you are talking about a 13-14 year old car with a ton of miles on a turbocharger and who knows what else is ready to break on it.
