Heat shield bracketry

Recommended Posts

Since no one has replied yet, I don't fully understand.

It looks like the bracket you're holding is supposed to go like this

I got the pic above from this thread

Unless those aren't your pictures you've attached, and you're missing that bracket?

*Also looks like it attaches to some other bracket too

Those are my pics.... LOL. Anyways that bracket I'm holding, the bolt holes don't line up with the top 2 studs of my DP, but if that's the correct part, I'll try to install it anyway.

The history of this car since I've got it has been of questionable repair people. Missing random parts, botched repairs, and on and on.. hence why I'm asking.

Just glad I can be of some help... ;)

Hopefully the humidity is lower on Sunday. I just did a quick job on the old 86 F150 and was back in the house by 9AM. yuck, how do people put up with that humidity down south.

I have absolutely no idea. 2 groups of friends moved down there about a year or so ago. They love it.. I say they can keep it! I'll be doing the same tomorrow morning, gotta do a brake line on my pickup, a 92 K1500

Funny you mention brake lines, when I was under the 86' I made a point of looking at the brake lines, even though most have been replaced.
