Pearlyy
Got this legacy about 2 months ago, for a month i had the abs light coming on intermittently but now it’s on 24/7. It displays “ER 55/SS” on the odometer. Can also hear a slight squeak when inching forward, any idea of what it could be? Wheel bearing or speed sensor? GEE-OTTO
Check the Speed sensor wire and/or probe into the wheel hub assembly. If the sensor was working but outside what the ECU likes, you would get a meaningful code such as P0501/2/3/4/0. That code indicates that the CAN isn't responsive. NORULZleggy
Replace the sensor, I had an issues like this and my outback was acting crazy. I hit up rockauto and installed the new one and it went away. they are 22-30 bucks shipped.
JmP6889928
Most likely speed sensor. I have a set of both fronts that were working fine when removed you can have for $50.00 shipped if you want them. PM me.
gimpydingo
After I had my tired rotated the ABS light came on about a mile after driving the car. There was also a slight squeak when I turned the car. Took calipers apart, cleaned everything, put it back, and all was good.
