epicsockzebra
Hey folks, I've got a 2000 Subaru Legacy GT limited and the steering wheel has seen better days. I've thought about just grabbing a new one from the junkyard, but while I was thinking, I wondered if newer legacy steering wheels will fit on mine? Maybe not even legacies, does anyone know what model/year of subaru steering wheels will fit on a 2000 legacy? Thanks!
RumbleRumble
The newer ones will fit but the cruise control set is different because the newer ones use drive-by wire. Maybe some can correct but you can use almost any steering wheel, just the hand controls might not be plug and play. Car-part.com ANY 2000-2004 Legacy/Outback wheel will be plug and play fit from the L to L.L.Bean models Edited March 8, 2019 by RumbleRumble
Shaeffer
Came here looking for the answer to this same question. I have a 2003 and I would love to upgrade the steering wheel. I couldn't find a better answer elsewhere. Is there a definite answer on this? What would I have to do to get cruise working on newer wheels? Can I just swap over the cruise control from my old wheel to the new? Did any of the 3rd gen wheels have stereo controls?
