emt1581
I just replaced the valve cover gasketing/cups, plugs, wires on my 06 Legacy non-turbo. In the process of that I knocked the fuel injectors loose on the driver's side. I put them back how it looked like they went into the holes with the rail holding them in place. However, now that the car is all back together, while running, the fuel is leaking out at the driver's side injectors. Do I need to replace both injectors? Does it just need new o-rings/gasketing? I've never messed with fuel injectors. Please let me know what all is involved with fixing the problem. Thanks!
moral hazard
I've had that issue once, all I had to do is remove the rail and injectors and then install them again. But while you're there, check the rubber just in case.
emt1581
Turns out I didn't crank down the rail tight enough. I checked out all the o-rings and seals and they all looked new. Greased them up, put everything back together.....got in the car....NOTHING! Battery was completely dead. Was still under warranty. So after 2 trips to Lowes, and 3 trips to Autozone and 2 days under that hood.... New valve cover gaskets and cups, new plugs, new wires, and new battery. After I change the oil/filter next weekend this car should be good for winter. oo
