I want a coupe...

Recommended Posts

Don't get me wrong...I love my Legacy, but wouldn't it be sweet if they offered a coupe version. :icon_ques Sort of M3esk, but with all wheel drive and enough left over cash to go to every driving school in the country.

It seems like all my backseat is used for on a daily basis is holding my lab coat and a few books.

Any photoshop whizzes out there? :icon_bigg

I think remember seeing a photoshoped coupe Legacy on here, not sure though. I agree, my backseat is generally for clothes and school crap. I would love a coupe version, but for some reason I think insurance would figure that a good reason to raise the price too.

Funny... one of the significant features about the LGT was the inclusion of two full-on rear seats. Having driven a 2+2 coupe (TT) it's nice to have rear seats to drive people. Much more practical - for me, that is. :)

But a coupe line would be cool. That red B4 coupe is the hotness!!

Needs to have slightly more aggressive lines IMO however.

My previous daily driver was a 2+2 (SVX) and yes, it is nice having four doors and 'grown-up' size rear seats (although the SVX was better in that department than a lot of similar coupes).

The idea when those chops were made (2+ years ago) was to do with the Legacy what Honda does with the Accord... Basically the same as the sedan except a slightly shortened platform, only two doors, and a more steeply raked windshield. I don't think that you could change much more and still justify calling it a "Legacy", but I still would love to see Subaru build a real sporty coupe - a reincarnation of the SVX would be perfect.

IMHO, no, it wouldn't be sweet. One of the major strengths of the Legacy lineup is that it does have real rear seats and four doors to go with decent handling and acceleration. Ditto for the Impreza lineup.

Coupes have less utility. Unless you're talking about a dedicated sports car (e.g. a Carrera GT), or a cheap-as-possible econobox, why bother?
