CaptChuck
We have a 1996 Legacy Brighton 2.2. The driver’s door is dinged badly enough we want to replace it. My door does not have power windows nor locks. All I can find in the wrecking yards are powered window type doors. Anyone know if the basic door is the same so all I would need to do is swap out the powered parts (window and locks) and interior trim and then replace them with the ones from my door? Das Ninjabot
You'll be just fine going that route. I believe the only difference in doors is the rear glass when going between a sedan and a wagon. Other than that you should be good to go.
Brighton96
The doors are physically the same, so just get the nicest one you can in the same color paint and then just remove all the wiring and extra stuff from the new door. Reuse the brighton door card and you'll have to swap the window regulator, but it's definitely do-able.
