Using OEM engine cover with Grimmspeed TMIC

For those of you with a GS unit that would like to keep their OEM engine cover, a little trim job to essentially cut it in half works well. Pretty happy with the new look.

I used a small carbon cutting wheel on my Dremel. Probably not the best choice as I'm there is a more specific Dremel wheel for this. The wheel cuts / melts thru the plastic so it leaves a pretty clean edge. Just started at one end, cut inward until I hit the Dremel spindle, trimmed that with a pair of tin snips and then cut more off, tin snip that, repeat. Finished off with a little cone shaped stone wheel that came with my Dremel kit.

I'll take the 1/4 lb weight penalty, call me vain LOL. I did decide to pull the AC system out of the car when I put the TMIC on. Its been on its last legs for the past few seasons and while its nice to have on hotter days driving to/from the track, its a nice weight drop and now I have much better airflow to my Koyo rad.

Gabo, its a Braille B2015 AGM battery, 15 lbs. I've had it for about 3-4 years now. No issues. I do keep the car on a tender in the winter and anytime I'll go more than a few weeks without driving the car.
