oldskoolbiker
Hey guys, I just wanted to post up and let you know that I was able to fit this Wilwood kit on my 2008 OBXT. I had previously upgraded to LGT brakes, but wanted something bigger with floating rotors because I track my car. http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/BrakeKitsProdRear.aspx?itemno=140-7006&year=2003&make=Subaru&model=Impreza&option=WRX Here is what I needed to do to get it to fit. 1) The dust shields needed to be trimmed. 2) The caliper bracket will need to be trimmed to make room for the new calipers to mount (trim template included in installation instructions). 3) Needed adapters, new banjo bolts and crush washers to fit my existing brake lines to new calipers. Ordered following parts from Summit: WIL-220-0628, RUS-683980, FRA-650150 4) Had to trim some material off the calipers to make clearance for the bottom mounting bolt (about 5mm around the bottom bolt hole on the caliper) 5) Needed to use 3 shims to center the caliper (shims come with the kit). 6) Had to trim all the bolts shorter, otherwise they would hit the rotor (will buy correct length bolts next time I need to disassemble for rotor swap.) Hope this helps anyone thinking to do a rear BBK. I don't know if this will fit over stock wheels, but if you already have a front BBK you won't have any problems.
