DrDRum
We're in the market for a used Outback XT Limited. We're looking to buy in the next few weeks, and have found a few...but weren't entirely sure on fair pricing for a 1 year used car. Obviously the biggest depreciation hit happens in the first two years of a car, and more of it in the first year. Edmunds says $23,500 for private party...and we were looking at $23k ish. Thoughts? and...where would be good places to look: here, subaruoutback.org, NASIOC, cars.com, autotrader, others? Thanks DRum
natethomas2000
Manual or automatic? A automatic will cost you about $1000 more to start with. The invoice for the manual limited OBXT is around $29,000. If you could find one with about 12,000 miles on it I'd say that $22K would be a good price. Beanboy
Hmm, friend got a non-limited Outback XT manual for $24,900 new last winter. When you toss in low financing, a 2005 limited Outback XT sitting on a lot somewhere may end up being a better deal if you can nab low financing, and can get a decent return on the money saved. -B http://www.standardshift.com
