New Engine choice

I see they are a long shipping distance from you.

 

The coating is just to help friction reduction.

 

The tune is what saves the pistons from cracking.

 

Looks like a good price though for all that.

They are pretty far but im a Logistics Manager and can get a great price on getting it there... I was just reading for 05-06 they need my core for rebuild and don't think i could do that...But it is a great price if i can find a cheap core..

By the time you pay for a core, ship it...how close is that to the price of a new OEM ej257... Most local dealers now day's sell the ej257 at a discount. Check your local dealer or ask Benny here post 175, http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/oem-online-subaru-parts-vendors-list-42243p5.html

Here, $1894.00, depending on where you live, I they may be close to you, I don't know where Hicksville NY is, I'll do a google search. Oh they are on Long Island.

You don't need pistons unless your looking for big HP. What are your HP goals ?

 

My stock ej257 runs great at nearly 98,000 miles at 21psi on the dyno.
