In our USDM cars its behind the plastic panel behind the right front tire. Remove the wheel and you'll see the plastic panel front of the strut above the frame rail. Use a special O2 socket and spray the old sensor threads with something like PB Blaster. Let it work for a few minutes, then use the special socket, hint, I put a hose clamp around the socket to keep it from spreading.

 

Use a small amount of anti-seize compound one the threads of the new sensor before putting it in.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
