YeuEmMaiMai
is there any difference between the outback hid and non hid headlight assembly it's self? also, does the ballast use the same connector as the regular halogen bulb?
Perscitus
I don't believe the OEM HID low-beam headlight assemblies were offered in USDM headlight-spec on any North American market car (Legacy or Outback). I think this applies to both the 5th and 6th gen Legacy (and 4th and 5th gen Outback respectively). Meaning - the difference is the headlight assemblies that are OEM and have HID low-beams are just for EMEA and APAC markets and meet their headlight beam-pattern and direction specs - non-American specs. Some years ago our Italian, Australian and Singapore, Philippines members posted some info and even some photos of the assemblies - and I don't think the sockets or wiring were the same (I doubt they would be between HID and Halogen anyway).
