Legucygt
Hi there, I have a 97 Subaru Legacy GT with a 2.5 an automatic transmission. The transmission is going out and I am going to buy another Subaru that they're parting out it's a 96 Legacy with a 2.2 instead of a 2.5 in order to swap out the Transmissions what modifications would I need to do so that it works properly? Legucygt
So the flexplate from my 2.5 and the whole rear differential from my 2.5, thank you
Osei
No. The tranny, rear differential and the flexplate from the 2.2. The final drive ratios are different from the gt to the std Legacy. Hence why you need the rear to match the front. The flexplates are different sizes to match the torque converter.
