shinjyo
I just installed a pair of prodrive cans onto my LGT with everything else stock. Although I like the sound from the prodrive but would want to make it slightly louder for the rumble. I first looked into replacing the mid/y pipe but both resonated brand such as nameless and perrin are both out of stock and only thing on the market is AVO. As looking more, I wonder replacing the stock resonator with a Vibrant Resonator will achieve my goal to make the system slightly louder. Any inputs are appreciated, thanks! MTBwrench
Replacing the resonator will indeed make a little more noise... But in the long run, you'll be better off just getting a proper resonated mid-pipe. The stock mid diameter is pretty small. shinjyo
What about buying the vibrant resonator and have a shop weld it on a fabricated 3" mid pipe (just like most brand name mid pipe)? I am assume from there will convert back to a 2.5" Y pipe?
