Bobbo63
Crazy misfire need help near everett/snohomish area in wa state 95 wagon, stock ej22 I jumpstarted a buddy today, car running normal no cel. his car started, we pull the jumper cables. I shut my car off, everything seemed normal. When i went to leave it misfired, jumped, shuttered n died. Every result after was pretty much the same. Just garbage. I disconnected the cam sensor and now when i cranked it over it sounded healthy... just not running. I redo the test with the ca, sensor, same result. I disconnected the maf, reconnected the other ones, and back to chugging, n sputtering. I hope its a bad coil pack misfiring and not a timing belt. Anybody got any ideas? doublechaz
Maybe timing belt jumped, but I wouldn't think that would be related to starting up the other car. Is it misfire on certain plugs, somewhat random, or totally random? My jumped cam was pretty much only 2 or 3 misfire, but sometimes it would be 1. I don't remember it ever saying 4. But it ran like total crap while only throwing a code once in a while. I think a blown coil would be very consistent which ones would code.
