AdrianV23
Hey guys new member here. My 05 LGT Limited seems to have a valve tick. I have read several other forums saying that these boxer engines have loud valve-trains. But at what point should a guy be concerned? Seems to be drinking a decent amount of oil as well. LGTwagon1993
If you want purchase an automotive stethoscope and scope around the engine while it is running. Like what Max Capacity said the injectors are very noisy. When I first purchased my LGT I has that same exact worry but I was just being paranoid. MilesA
It's an all-aluminum engine with the horizontally-opposed layout. It's got solid valve lifters and electronic fuel injection. It's got lightweight pistons with very short piston skirts. You will hear every bit of it but it's nothing to worry about.
