caleb9799 Posted September 19, 2017 Share Posted September 19, 2017 I drive a 99 Suabru Legacy SUS Automatic and i have been having a problem with it. it drives in first gear fine, then if the throttle is held at the same spot to accelerate, it refused to shift, to get it to shift i have to bring the RPMs to about 5500-6000 and then let off and press again and it usually shifts into second. The main problem though is that i cannot get this thing to go into 3rd for the life of me. I have done 2 fluid changes and A filter change. Please help!! MTBwrench Posted September 22, 2017 Share Posted September 22, 2017 Is that a 4EAT? Not familiar with the older Legacy's. Any trouble codes? Sounds like either a bad solenoid/rotational speed sensor or a sticky check ball/valve which only breaks loose at high line pressure(since line pressure usually increases with input shaft speed).
