clevere1
Hi, I was wondering, for the 2015 Legacy limited 2.5, does anyone know what the dealer adjustable settings are - and would you happen to have a service manual showing how to change them? securityguy
Like what specifically? All setting, I believe, are controlled by you and not the dealer.
clevere1
Like what specifically? All setting, I believe, are controlled by you and not the dealer. I'm not sure. I do know that most manufacturers have settings that the dealer is support to be the one that programs. Generally the service manual will show dealer programmable settings. securityguy
I do not believe that there are any for our cars. Did you try reading the "easter egg" thread?

Beerguy419
They can adjust the sound level of the chirp when you lock/unlock the doors. I had this done.
slk5060
They can adjust the sound level of the chirp when you lock/unlock the doors. I had this done. You can turn that chirp on/off yourself through the head unit. Wouldn't be as annoying if it wasn't so loud, so having them change it would be nice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
cdc782
I think you can adjust the number of turn signal blinks you get with the half turn signal press.
ehsnils
Considering that I work with vehicles (different brand) there are probably thousands of parameters that can be tuned in the vehicle, but many of them aren't even possible to be tuned by the dealer, some of them are for the vehicle development. XT-sub
I don’t know about on the 2015 USDM Legacy, but on the Australian spec 2016 Liberty the dealer can disable the headlight high beam auto dipping & change the sensitivity of the rain sensing wipers. Paradox
Most of those dealer settings are only available to be modified by using the Subaru Select Monitor device.

TTG
What OP is referring to is something most German makers offer through the dealer or if you have the knowledge and the tools, you can program the car yourself. None of that is possible with Subaru as far as I know. Here are some examples for BMWs: Convenience & Operational Options ☐ Close windows/sunroof with key fob ☐ Fold/unfold mirrors with key fob ☐ Open/Close liftgate with key fob/in-cabin button ☐ Auto unlock doors on key eject or engine off ☐ Set wipers to complete cycle when shutting off the car ☐ Disable headlight washers ☐ Enable one-touch window operation with door open ☐ Disable seatbelt butler for driver and/or Passenger ☐ Set Auto Start/Stop to off by default - F series only ☐ Disable Active Sound Design (ASD) in M5/M6 - F series only iDrive ☐ Disable iDrive "Accept" screen ☐ Disable iDrive camera disclaimers ☐ Add/Remove weatherband radio ☐ Enable DVD/Video in Motion ☐ 8 shortcut buttons instead of 6 (uses Mode and AM/FM buttons) ☐ Enable Sport Display (horsepower and torque gauges) - F series only ☐ Enable PSI and Temperature in TPMS - F series only ☐ Increase address/message storage from 25 to 50 - F series only ☐ ///M startup splash screen - F series only ☐ Enable enhanced bluetooth (iDrive Office, Bluetooth audio streaming, etc.) Lighting ☐ Disable corner led and ambers for parking lights/headlights ☐ Enable double blink hazards for hazard button ☐ Disable DRL tail lights ☐ Disable auto dimming mirrors ☐ Disable cornering lights (E92 or E70) ☐ Angel eyes as day time running lights (E90 3/2007+ build) ☐ Enable rear fogs under normal braking ☐ Enable GTS brake force display Gauge Cluster ☐ Enable ///M Digital speedometer ☐ Enable real-time MPG ☐ Adjust fuel reserve warning from 1/4 to 1/8 (M Cars) ☐ Enable ///M Performance start up screen ☐ Disable key in ignition chime ☐ Disable seat belt chimes
ehsnils
The decision varies between manufacturers, but allowing a lot of options also comes with the risk of increased support to the end users, and somewhere along the line someone has to pay for it.
