gtscooby Posted June 30, 2017 Share Posted June 30, 2017 So I have been trying to figure out why in the hell my car gets 12mpg and idles like shit. I checked every last sensor and checked for vacuum leaks (so I thought) Today while re inspecting I found this. I believe this is the purge valve. I dont fully understand what it does but as you can see in the pic it only has 2 hoses connected. The problem is I cant seem to find a pic anywhere of where the 3rd hose goes. Its a tight area as is and I spent 20min looking and every hose seems to be connected ( no loose ends ) will someone please help me out. Also on a side note whats the other filter looking thing that is on the hose in front of the purge valve?? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Max Capacity Posted June 30, 2017 Share Posted June 30, 2017 I'm guessing someone replaced it with a new one and dropped the old one and left it there ? 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs.
