Salle071
Hello all, my buddy was working on his 2010 Legacy, had to take engine out, lost two quarts of trans fluid in the process. On assembly he refilled with fluid sold by local supplier (Castrol synthetic ATF). I am not sure whether there are two fluids in this type CVT; failed with AT Temp and check engine lights, and traction light flashing. Can not drive, there is high pitch noise when trying to put in gear. Anyone had similar experience? Did it go to limp mode and may be driven after it is cooled off? Many thanks
NVAKeith
Here is a thread with info about different aftermarket fluids available: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/cvt-transmission-fluid-messed-up-big-time-252186.html?t=25218 If he used regular ATF, then I'd flush and refill.
