subiedubie Posted May 8, 2017 Share Posted May 8, 2017 Hey guys, Ive got engine stutter, but its a little weird. 2005 Legacy gt auto 145,000 miles Ive read through the hesitation thread but its not quite what im having. the engine starts idles fine but revving in park or neutral has it stuttering bad. there is no CEL or code for it. it can be driven and feels okay, will drive past 30mph but is a little hesitant on acceleration. the problem really park and neutral, the hesitation is blatant and horrible. i was wondering if anyone had an idea what to fix? some possibilities im going to check are: air filter maf tps boost/vacuum leak O2 sensors maybe? Max Capacity Posted May 9, 2017 Share Posted May 9, 2017 Wrong forum. O2 will throw a CEL. How old are the spark plugs ? Clean the MAF sensor, its easy to do. When did you last replace the air filter ? 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
