laufu
Yes the big differences between 5th gen and 6th gen is: * 2.5 SOHC (gen5) vs. to DOHC with VVT (gen6) * Eyesight * Styling (though the 5th gen is growing on me) Probably the only reason I'd look at getting the 5th gen is if you wanted a GT. That's interesting, I thought all Legacies and Outbacks went to the FB engines in 2013. In North America, the 2013-2014 gen 5s uses the same FB25 (DOHC) engine found in the gen 6 models. Also the gen 5 had the 2nd generation Eyesight system with black and white cameras, vs current gen 6. Gen 6 use smaller color cameras. Eyesight for the gen 5 was only available on the top trims in the US. I like my gen 5, but I think the gen 6 looks better. As everyone else said, the gen 6 gets much better mileage plus more media connectivity. The best you could get on a gen 5 was AHA or though your phone's apps via Bluetooth audio.
