1996 legacy 2.0 cylinder compression ratio results

I have a subaru legacy 1996 with 2.0 liter petrol engine, I ve made a cylinder compression ratio test today and here is the results, is it normally?

 

passenger inner side ........ 170-175 psi

passenger outer side ........ 170-175 psi

driver outer side ................ 155-160 psi

driver inner side ................ 150-155 psi

 

motor type is EJ20E and I ve found an information about compres ratio of my vehicle, there says compression ratio is 9:00, accoding to my calculation, ratios is 180 psi normally, is it correct? here is link

As the engine wears your compression test results will go down. We call it 'getting tired'. More important is that you don't want to pass 10% difference between the high and low number in your test. You are a little past this if we say you are 173 and 152.

 

That means the engine won't run as smooth and won't make as much power. If you were considering rebuilding the engine this test would argue for the rebuild.

 

If it serves your needs and you are trying to guess how long it will live, it should keep going as long as it isn't using a lot of oil or some other bigger propblem.
