balbrec2
So here is something I haven't found a thread on but would like some info if anyone has the knowledge. When your CEL comes on I know that the cruise control and vehicle stability control are disabled. Is there anyway any of these could cause the CVT to act more abruptly. Instead of the normal vague shift points that I am used to, there is now a more abrupt shift at around 30 mph. Otherwise all seems normal except for the warning lights. No noises or performance issues. I don't have any codes at this time but have an appt for the dealer in a few days, still under warranty. Thoughts please. Thanks in advance. spect2k
You have a CEL without any codes? Is that what you're saying?
balbrec2
No. What I'm saying is I haven't had the ECM checked yet for a code that is causing the CEL to come on.
spect2k
Got it. Without knowing what's going on, there is certainly a chance you could be having driveability issues. If the abrupt shifting has coincided with the CEL, I would say it is likely they are connected. A CEL, regardless of the issue, changes the way the car functions. YeuEmMaiMai
Yeah hook a scanner up to it if the MIL (aka Money Indicator Light) is lit then you should be able to retrieve the code.
