Redbone Posted March 17, 2017 Share Posted March 17, 2017 Well it wasn't pouring out side so I got some time to look at what could cause this. The two end seals (passenger and driver side) are not sealing against the glass and were deformed. I can see a direct path from them to the strut tower. They locate by two pins on the center cowl cover and wedge against the fender and glass in the corners. I ordered two new ones. Will up date when I install them Would you happen to have the part numbers in your order ? After confirming that I had no gaps in wheel wells I went and got a car wash. I noticed that I had water under the hood on top of both struts and that the cowl seal was wet on face surface of seal. Thinking of replacing or adding to cowl seal. Don't feel bad I spent $350 on the driver side front strut replacement only to find the crunch noise although less is still prevalent when going over speed bumps.
