Setnev
If you were closer to Northern AZ, I'd say bring it on by. I can do those clutches in a couple hours and that's with removing the engine.
flyboy1649
Ft Ord used to have a auto hobby shop. Check and see if it's still around. I was at DLI from 3/09-11/10. It was there, not much of one but they had tools and lifts and a clean place to work on your car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kamikazepaco
i think they closed it to rebuild or something, but ill look closer into that. thanks! what language are you?
wpmarky
I've heard some people use this place: http://pitrow-diy.com/ You can rent a lift and tools to do your own work. You can also rent "help" from an on site mechanic to help if you get stuck with something. Welcome to the bay!

Have car ramps, hydraulic jacks, and stands for safety.

doublechaz
Wouldn't tell you the code? WTF? What in the world is the reason they won't give you the code? How do they expect to sell you the parts you need if you don't know what you need?
kamikazepaco
i dont know. some weird California thing. long story short, autozone in Cali got sued by some group of mechanics for cutting i not their business by giving codes out for free, instead of letting them charge $85--- and won. so much for capitalism. anyway, this made it illegal for autozone to even pull engine codes until recently. but now they apparently cant give us the code. im not terribly sure, its a shit storm lol and the above is just what i heard from an employee. could be inaccurate
odycee
I have code reader if you needed
doublechaz
Huh. One more reason not to go there. Weird. Thanks for the info. You can get the bluetooth reader for like 5 dollars and read the codes out with a free app on your phone. Maybe the mechanics should sue China.
