janie27526
Hi all--just getting my 05 OB XT limited and wanting to add back up camera. Has anyone had luck doing this? Willing to tinker with head unit and sound as well if I can find alway to integrate it all. Thanks in advance! bhavedikian
Yep it's all ready to go once you plug in the cam etc. Svxdc iirc was selling the camera adapters... https://www.google.com.au/search?q=s....0.pM4cV5_fNdc http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopi...0939&start=390 https://www.google.com.au/search?q=s....0.Bu24CzNDQbA Originally Posted by bhavedikian What exactly did you do to display your phone on the Nav screen? That's grounding a pin on the DVD map drive unit, and grounding a wire leading to the nav screen harness. Originally Posted by bhavedikian Right on, thank you for the quick response. bhavedikian
I think that should do it. When I performed this I added three RCAs to the bottom of the arm rest as well; left, right, video. I plugged in an RCA to HDMI converter and then used an OTG adapter to plug it into my Note 3 phone but the display has very poor res and then I had to upgrade to the Note 5 which forced me to switch to using Chromecast to get the display of the phone on the navi screen. I can get the exact res of the screen but it's like 420x234 or something. I picked up a cam from Amazon that was cheap but it does the job, not sure how much it's worth getting a proper one with that low of res.
