thejazzcat
The question is exactly as the topic reads. I have driven my new 05 LGT with 115k on the engine for a month or two now, and I haven't eaten any oil whatsoever that I can tell. I have heard that these cars (and boxers in general) WILL eat oil at some point. I don't know if I am just lucky/blessed or are reports of oil consumption overblown... Feeny1701
I had a '12 GT for about 14k miles and never had to add. I only put like 5k miles a year on her though.
codger2
30,000 km on a Rallispec Street Spec block. Never added oil between changes, not what I expected with forged internals. Rotella T6 5w40 synthetic.
John J
My 06 LGT wagon doesn't leak oil with 206k miles on it. It will use a quart of Rotella T6 in 3,000 miles. I bought the car with 155k on it and don't know the history before that.

Rhitter
There is a difference between oil consumption and oil leaks. I had no oil consumption or leaks on my OEM shortblock for 100k miles. Around 100k my oil cooler gasket started leaking. On my new short block (forged pistons) with a VF52 and 18 pounds of boost. I have some oil consumption, but no leaks. About every 2500 miles I need to add a quart. My OBXT build

Max Capacity
Keep an close eye on the oil level, these cars use oil at different rates. I'm doing 7000 mile oil changes and only have to add some after 2500-3000 miles. Do Not let the oil get low. Its difficult at best to get a true reading of the oil level in these cars. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Engine Build - Click Here

jwag74
Not a drop EVER, thats no leaks or consumption. No topups needed between changes On an EJ20 though. My EJ20 never used a drop either, it had 170K when I got rid of it. My EJ255 however ate oil like a fat kid eats cake, I checked it every other time I got gas. HAMMER DOWN
Around 4qts. over my 15k OCI. Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold
Brock Samson
About 2 qts of oil consumption over a 6000ish OCI. I'm putting in a catch can or something soon, I know this oil is going back to the intake since the hot side of the intercooler has some oil coating it. RaceRedFiveOh
I'll say this is the hardest car I've ever had reading the oil, somehow the sides if my dipstick come out coated and its definitely a judgement call as to where my oil actually sits.
