JohnQx25
I've looked at the lists i.e. Spark plugs, air filters, fuel filter etc. But my main question is around the Transmission fluid. The suggested maintenance says "inspect" and tranny fluid change was not included in the dealers 60k package. However my local mechanic suggested I do the tranny fluid. Note, I've been procrastinating so the car actually has 75k already in it... Change the tranny fluid or not??
faded-a-fool
The shops (Infamous Performance) that have done my 30K and 60K service change all fluids instead of inspecting so I would say change.
acumenhokie
Assuming it's a manual and not CVT. Change.
DugsSin
Definitely change the transmission, differentials and brake fluid.
bigboy292000
At or around 60 I changed: V belt. Brake fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, front and rear diff fluids, CVT fluid. I had the dealer do the spark plugs when I had them fix the spark plug tube seals as there was oil in tubes.
JohnQx25
Thanks for the quick response. Went to my local mechanic, who specializes in imports. I ended up just doing that tranny fluid, front and rear differentials (which he said looked like it was needed.) 60k service included: Spark plugs Engine & cabin air filter transmission fluid F & R differential fluids brake fluid Oil change Inspect all the basics, brakes etc $600 total. Which is about what the dealership quoted me, except didn't not include the tranny fluid and differentials. Sound about right??
YeuEmMaiMai
^ this is why I do as much as I can with my car.... Even the CVT fluid is easy to change but getting access to small quantity needed can be an issue if your dealer does not sell it by the quart. DugsSin
Cabin filter should take you all of 5 minutes to change yourself, very easy, and replacement filters are cheap when you buy them online. I change mine once a year. Price you paid seems reasonable as long as quality replacement fluids/parts were used.
