ckyfreak2010
I got sent a few sets of LED head light bulbs and compared them to see which was best!
fedaykin
Nice video! Although I watched it with no audio (at work). Did you address foreground? All three bulbs have a heap of foreground (especially that 'Razir' one), which is something you don't want. Also the glare seems to be quite prominent. The ZY puts out a thin column, how did it become the winner? Out of those three, the 'VPlus' one seems to be better than the other two. A halogen comparison with the three bulbs would have been nice. mestizoracer310
I too liked the VPlus's...... but maybe you could have both ZY's installed w/ the focus length adjusted to where the original halogen filaments would be?
mestizoracer310
Found that VPlus has several different lines/models available. The one above the X line (ones that he tested) is called the A line. Full adjustable focal length and only $4 more than the X lines.... I"ll be giving those a try...very soon.... but Thanksgiving is going to delay shipment tho...

mestizoracer310
LED low beams only: LED lows AND the HID fogs: I wasn't able to get a head on shot because the rain started coming down real hard. I'll try to get one soon.... hope these help....... I adjusted the very middle of the LED chips to be in the same center spot of the halogen's filament..... w/ both LED chips facing west/east.... I don't have a setup inside my car to safely take videos and drive.....sorry y'all...
fedaykin
Thanks for the photos, shows how bad the HID kit is, heaps more glare than LED, wow. Both are still too "fuzzy" around the cutoff, and sadly have lots of foreground. It would be good to see halogen vs. LED, so we can compare the "factory" output (I have a feeling it'll be similar to LED but more focused, although I could be wrong and the standard beam could be crap). These days the adjustable LED bulb does improve the beam somewhat, but you can still see heaps of glare above cut off. Still has a heap of development to go before it can mimic halogen patterns.
