Logibear117
My 1998 legacy GT's handbrake is very "loose". Not much stopping power from it even when it is pulled all the way. (When just idle, the car still moves unless the lever is pulled all the way) I am almost certain that the problem is due to the adjustment being off because I bought it from an old lady who I'm sure was not skirting around any hairpin turns wearing them out. Lol. I would appreciate a good description of how to set the sensitivity higher or any referral to videos on how to do so. Thanks!
Brighton96
There is an adjustment you can make. The cables run to the back of the hub assemblies on the rear of the car and there is a long threaded fitting on the cable, all you have to do is "unscrew" it counter clockwise to tighten up the cable. Keep in mind, if it's loose that most likely means the emergency brake pads are wore out.
