njlabodin
Bought this car back in March of 2015, have had a blast with it so far and hope to run it for many more years to come. I do plan on doing some stuff to this car, but it is my DD, so nothing ridiculous. Eventually I plan on doing: -Tires (currently running Cooper all-seasons), want to get Summer and Winter tires -Rear sway (probably Whiteline) -Up and downpipe -Catback -Springs & Shocks On to the pictures: When I first bought it. http://i.imgur.com/5Zcdv6X.jpg http://i.imgur.com/pegRorQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VaxfpFw.jpg
njlabodin
First thing I did was to Plati-Dip the grill and wheels: http://i.imgur.com/O8Y0mAQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/O7mi5Wt.jpg
njlabodin
I was unhappy with the flat black on the wheels, plus they were curb gouged, so I stripped them of and tried to fix the curb rash. http://i.imgur.com/v65PwAI.jpg I then painted them with gunmetal wheel paint, I will need to do something about these, as I didn't do the best on prep and paint. I also painted the calipers and the centers of the rotors as well, another thing I need to redo as I didn't prep correctly. http://i.imgur.com/YVDHLcR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/0ZIrWRA.jpg http://i.imgur.com/mjyCehz.jpg
njlabodin
There was some discoloration on the hood scoop paint, that I couldn't get out with a buffer, so I decided to plasti-dip it in the Black and Blue color, so it wouldn't be too far off from the stock color. http://i.imgur.com/N6NJh71.jpg Most recent thing I've done is take the car to Autocross for my 1st time, had a blast their and can't wait for the spring for me to be able to do it again with this and my other car. LatentWagen
-Tires (currently running Cooper all-seasons), want to get Summer and Winter tires -Rear sway (probably Whiteline) -Up and downpipe You are definitely on the right track with your mods! And props to you for tackling body work yourself. Over 80% of the time you spend doing the job should be spent in the prep process, and as you're figuring out, cutting corners in the prep stages just leads to more work in the end. LW's spec.
