Recommended Posts

So it begins... I recently purchased this car from a member on this forum... [rao]. He sold me his beautiful 05 LGT with a staggering 57k miles for an irresistible price. I have big plans for the car and I would love to share the experience with you guys. Also, I would love to hear feedback, criticism, hate and would really love to receive some advice throughout this build i.e. parts, techniques etc etc.

Anyways on to the priority build list [the parts the car needs]

- Clutch & Flywheel (slipping really hard in higher RPMS)

- Complete suspension replacement, IL snow & salt can be hard on soft Subaru metal

- Body rust repair. & Possible Re-Paint (haven't decided color)

- Belts, Valves, Gaskets, Tubes & Hoses, Battery & Brakes.

Now on to the Fun build list [everything I want to do to the car]

Performance List

- KW Variant 2 Coilovers

- Full AVO Turbo Back Exhaust [Car is too loud as it sits right now. Needs refinement]

- Perrin Short Shifter

- AVO FMIC

- AVO Cold Air Intake

- Cobb AP3

- GFB Hybrid BOV

- Cusco Power Braces

- Cusco Sway Bar

- Cusco Strut Bars Type ALC OS

- Deatschwerks Injectors

- Deatchwerks Fuel Rail System

- Grimspeed Air Oil Separator

- Full GFB Pulley Kit

Exterior List

- Fender Flares

- CyberR Rear lip spoiler

- STI Front Lip Spoiler

- 06-07 Spec B wheels

- JDM Headlights

- JDM Spats

- Rally Armor Mudflaps

- Thule Roof Rack

That does it.... For now.

Here is how the car sits now.

Start spraying the AeroKroil now for when you eventually plan to change out the suspension parts. Since you are replacing so much and from the pictures how much rust there is I'd suggest looking for some aluminum spec B bits to replace them.

In your replacement of belts you are planning the timing belt and all pulleys and the tensioner with it since it is a 12 year old belt now.

Otherwise looks like a good list of mods. Not sure I'd do a FMIC on a stock location turbo but if thats what you want then go for it.

2005 Vader Wagon

Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston

I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B

I was wondering about spec B parts... They are pretty hard to find. &&& Yeah I'm not entirely sure I want to do a FMIC, I just like the idea of it.
