My only complaint on it was the way the casings ejected. Besides that it ran flawless. Totally nothing wrong with 4 free mags either since I bet they aren't cheap to begin with.

I have one and ejection is flawless, strong and positive to the 3:30 position. What was the issue with the one you shot?

Brass would eject onto my arm every time.

Cheap ammo (steel/aluminum)

Old ammo

Light Hand loads

Limp wrist

Poorly formed extractor

Bad recoil spring

My P320 X-Five dumps my hand loads (9mm 115grn FMJ, 4.1grn of tite-group) all over my right arm. :dm:

I've shot a VP9 and experienced no such issue with the above hand load.

How many rounds do you have through it?

So I've been trying to find a good suppressor-friendly 45acp for a while now. Friend of mine suggested an AR45 as they're blowback and not browning-action with a barrel that needs to flop around like my Glock 21, and therefore pretty sensitive to big heavy cans hanging off the end of the barrel. My can has a booster but my glock still says "nah".

Same friend also mentioned Palmetto State Armory had them decently cheap. $600 shipped on a daily deal back in June. So I ordered one. . . that was June 19.

Missed the daily deal so I bought their 'blem' AR45 pistol which was $650+shipping+FFL xfer. All in just under $700, not terrible considering most other AR45's I've found are $1200-1300.

PSA is slow to ship. Expected that. Takes nearly 3 weeks for my gun to show up at my dealer (was shipped July 4 and I got it July 9) and when it does the bolt won't cycle past halfway. . . and since it was shipped with a little plastic bolt blocking widget, I can't close the bolt to separate the upper/lower and figure out what's wrong with it. Probably could have just broken the widget, closed the bolt and investigated, but my thought is I shouldn't have to troubleshoot/repair a brand new gun.

video of issue: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZTQkUNE0SzzjGCvI2

Emailed PSA asking for advice. Takes a couple of days each time for them to reply. Eventually (July 15) they say "well if you think it's broken you can send it back and we'll fix it." They send a return label and I send it back.

2 weeks later (July 27) I still haven't heard anything so I email to check up. They basically say 'we've got it and it's being processed'.

Monday (August 7, about 7 weeks from the day I ordered it) I call. They say "it's in repairs but I have no notes on it. . . lemme check and call you back". I bring up the time elapsed and tell them I'd like either a confirmation it's on the way back, a replacement gun shipped out, or a refund. They say they'll call back or email same day.

No reply so I call again yesterday afternoon (20 minutes on hold). Same deal as before "it's in repairs. No info". I tell them I'd like a refund. They say "it's a serialized firearm, refunds are processed through a different person, I'll transfer you. . . " 10 minutes on hold and I'm disconnected.

Back to email yesterday afternoon. Repeat my request for a refund. No response as of this morning.

My friend who recommended them has ordered in the past without issue. At this point I'll never order from them again and have no guarantee I'll get a gun or my money back.

My recommendation is to order elsewhere. Great prices, $hitty customer service.

******* SIG botched the P320 it seems. Not drop safe under some circumstances. Guess my wife's is going back as soon as they cook up a "fix".

Range gun, hasn't been in the case for a week at best.

Ammo was Federal brass range ammo "cause rental"

I fired that just before the VP9, I didn't like it much granted the 226 legion SAO is the Sig I really want. The fix I think was another trigger. The Yankee Marshal already swapped his out but I don't think he drop tested it.

The P320 drop test (fail) vids have kept me laughing for a few days now.

Yeah FB and IG memes are great! A few folks showed Glocks failed the drop test but they all had aftermarket triggers. Kinda makes me want to just use a factory kit in my 80%. Glock 22 still M.I.A.

HK 9mm pistols are sprung for duty ammo, so plinking grade range fodder might give weak ejection at first. Mine didn't lighten up until about 300 rounds of NATO Spec ammo were down the pipe. Now it runs lighter loads better.

Ammo and break in totally could have been the reason.

I'm hearing it's an issue in the slide. I already have the Apex trigger. I'd throw a primered case in and whack it with a 1lbs rubber hammer but I don't want **** up my Dawson sights.

Didn't like the 320 trigger. Apex trigger made it a little better. But I still like my VP9 better.

For me

VP9 > Glock > 320

Waiting to try the CZ P10C.

This was me with it circled at about 8 yards. top group was my 1911 pictured farthest down.

And me trying to snipe with a shotgun 14 and about 20 yards. Seems like I do better with 18" barrel over this 26" barrel.

My 1911 up top vs the A1, didn't take pics of the target before shooting shotgun but the goal was pretty much compare recoil. A1 shot a little bit better than my gun.

Looks great! Wish I had a full size slide to loan you. I don't think the 21 would work. Maybe the 35?

Google says these lowers can accept these slides so I assume it could work.

Receiver------------Upper/s

G17.....................G17,17L,34

G17L...................G17,17L,34

G22.....................G17*,17L*,22,24,31,34*,35

G35.....................G17*,17L*,22,24,31,34*,35

Awesome. Send me a pm and we can try and work out a time I can bring the slide over. I start vacation Thursday but should be back in town Wednesday and not back to work until Monday.

Thanks, I will send you a PM in a few. It's a Gen 3 and under slide? Gen 4 is too wide at the front.

Dangit, this really gets me wanting to do the Polymer-80 stuff. I think it would be loads of fun to do with the little one. :)

At 1st I assumed "little one" was the G19/G23 and not your child. LOL yeah too soon for me still and their mom is totally not on board. Part of me wants to just find a rough shape pawned Gen 3 but the whole point of the build is bottom up. Rough shape Gen 3 would so be cheaper than the build sheet I keep drawing up and scrapping.
