Koni and springs on 19's

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I cannot bring myself to even consider spending more than about $2000 on a set of wheels, and only for the garage queen, no way in hell 2 grand of wheels would go on my DD. If I can pick these up for $1500, I will do it.

Does anyone know any members with a 19 inch wheel on the Koni inserts and lowering springs? I've searched and searched, and I can't seem to find anyone who's not using coilovers.

I just want see what tire size people are using. I have 245-40-19, and I'm really having second thoughts about wheel well clearance one H&R springs.

...a bit late to the thread, but this is sort of a common fitment around here. I'm running a 19x8 w/245-40/19 on Swift springs (RCE Bilstein dampers).

...blklgt05 is also running a very similar setup.

Not to get off topic...but how do you guys think a set of dark bronze wheels would look on SWP?

...that would be a good look, go for it.

Never too late to be appreciated, thanks for the input, but I must say......

I pulled the trigger on some coilovers tonight:

ITEM:Fortune Auto 500's

for Legacy BM/BR

with 9kF/8kR spring rates

11kF/10kR valving

and Radial bearings

They'll be in 3 weeks from now.....I can't wait.

Hmmm, the fact that you're on 245-35-19 tires, with that amount of space tells me that my tires probably would've left me no gap.

Oh well, the 5th Gen coilovers from fortune auto seen pretty robust, and I plan on getting mine dyno'd.

I'm sensing a meetup near Piqua.

If I had time to do anything I'd be all up for it. Unfortunately, time is something I don't have right now. Trying to get my house done for the most part before summer ends. Everytime I start a new section, more problems reveal themselves....blah

Turns out fortune Auto 500's apparently don't have camber plates on the struts, so pending the follow up on the confirmation of this, I may not get these.

That leaves Twin street flex, or Koni setup as back up.

Here's an interesting development.....

Apparently, as I mentioned before, the FA500 model, does not come with front camber plates as the person did my order mentioned. As such, Fortune Auto is now looking for a reference vehicle to measure the top hats to create the camber plates for my car.

So, I may be the first Legacy GT with FA500 camber plates....

Or..... I'll just go with the backup plan.

Looks like yours truly is going to be the first person with fortune auto 500 with camber plates specifically for the 5th Gen Legacy GT.

I'm going through THMotorsports, so if you have fortune auto coilovers, you can upgrade to the new camber plates by giving them a buzz.

idk what a swp is, but this is my 5th gen limited, on 18x8.5 no suspension just a rear sway bar.

This is ironically hilarious. SWP is Satin White Pearl, which just so happens to be the color of the car in the picutres that you posted. It's also known as white.

Your specs are meaningless without the wheel offset. [emoji53]
