Anavrin351
I've come down to 3 sets of coilovers. Since h&r/koni are basically $800, I'm willing to spend a little more for possibly better. Looking for opinions on these 3 coilovers. I want to eliminate the sag ass and make the car handle better. I know I have to upgrade bushings, but this will all be done at once. Car is an 08 spec b So here are the choices http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160816/87e2e159b0643fc536dde2e97dd3ffc7.jpg Or http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160816/5d282794994d6eff057f42487ac56e44.jpg Or http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160816/023df21b980394bddb62f5779f81308c.jpg I want quality. I don't want blown shocks after 10k miles. Any input is appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
scoobyscoodle
If you want quality, and your budget is around $1K, then stick with Koni inserts. Koni makes a vastly superior shock to anything you listed above. If you want a coilover, then the KWv2 or RCE T1 is what I would consider entry level, and about the same as Koni in terms of quality of the shock valving. wesleyCrowbar
Konis and new top hats. The comfort is similar to stock with better performance than all of the sub $1k coilovers
Anavrin351
I read a lot of great things about the KWv2. And I just saw that they offer free rebuilds!! That makes it worth the price tag right there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
scoobyscoodle
I just took my RCE T1's off my car, and they are currently being rebuilt by KW in CA. They are a custom set with 500lb f/r spring rates and GTworx camber plates. I will be putting them up for sale when they return if you would be interested. Once they return they will essentially be brand new.

scoobyscoodle
I already have them on the car and have been running them for a couple weeks now. Ohlins Road & Track, built by PSI and valved for 550lb front and 600lb rear spring rates. They are excellent. Nothing wrong with the RCE's at all, I just wanted to change it up. Tuning Alliance
Shoot us a PM we can help you out with pricing. I would recommend going with the BC's out of the 3 linked above. -Brian Contact us for all your tuning and performance parts needs! Etuning the legacy community since 2008! TheMonaLisa
Im selling a new, unopened set of H&R springs (at a loss) if you decide to go that route.
shralp
+1 on sticking with the Koni set up or bumping up to the KW's if you really want a coilover. The three you have listed are sub par and you'll get what you pay for down the road
TheMonaLisa
The Konis have adjustable damping so the only difference between them and the KWs (adjustability wise) is height and they're half the price. Pick the spring you want and fine tune the height with Subtle Solutions (F&R 1/4, 3/8, 1) or Saggy Butt (R 1/4, 3/8, 1/2) spacers.
