Dyllanbmx Posted August 8, 2016 Share Posted August 8, 2016 Hey Guys, every now and then when taking off from 1st, ill get a popping noise or a thud kinda noise around when the clutch bites. just wondering if any one has had the same problem or has an idea what it could be. im in need of a new clutch as it is so i will be getting it all looked at in the near future, just wanted to know if it was something i will need to budget for on top. But anyways, i want to hear people opinions and experiences with aftermarket clutches and OEM clutches. At this point in time my cars just for street use, but id like to do some track days later on down the track, so i want something nice to drive, but something that will hold up under track abuse. I still like my Spec 2+ Clutch. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
