need bb
I performed a smoke test at 2-4PSI, and found that the only place where it was leaking was the dump tube connected to the Tial 38mm EWG. I was expecting the EWG to stay closed until boost pressure overcame the spring pressure of 15PSI. Is it normal that the EWG should leak during a pressure/smoke test? need bb
With the car idling, there was no exhaust coming out of the EWG dump tube. I am confused on why would there be air leaking during the boost leak/smoke test, but nothing when the engine was on.
BrandonspecB
Tials leak from the diaphragm area past the valve guide into the exhaust. I've contacted them about it and they said it's normal.
need bb
Thanks. I thought this was the source of my boost leak. Looks like I have no leak after all.
