JWD06OBXT
06 OBXT 78k Took the front tires off this weekend to put my under engine plate back on and noticed the rear bushing of the front control arms are torn on both sides. (Driver/Pass) Car is lowered on legacy struts and h&r springs? Is this pretty common and what route have people take to replace with? http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=232350&stc=1&d=1466474772
battelready
Yea it happens over time. Some people use groupN lca mounts ( only ralispec has them for our cars, same as 08 STI) . They are hardened rubber so all the stiffness and resilience minus the noise of poly. I bought an auto be more involved in my uninvolvedness . 200k+ Club If you can't blind them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit. My high mileage turd. sanchitosonria
Pretty common. Happened on my 09 2.5i at like 50k and on my Spec.b around 87k. I used the Whiteline KCA334 ALK as a replacement. Very nice.
FJuan
This is common based on how old the car is getting. For OEM bushings, just order some from Ebay/Amazon, take the LCA off and take it to a auto machine shop. For around $35, they will press out the old ones and press in the new ones. While you have the arms off, I highly suggest replacing the "inner" LCA Bushing. My wife's balls are delicious.
