Throwdown in NYC

Recommended Posts

If you like basebball may take the Number 7 to the Mets stadium, visit Flushing Meadow Park and take a pic at the world sphere, then on the way back get off at 74th Street station and walk up and down for approximately 10 blocks. The amount of restaurants from different ethnicities that'll you experience in those 10 blocks is overwhelming! Food trucks, restaurants, stores, etc. Roosevelt Ave IS the melting pot of NYC.

LIC is also a hot spot now a days and you get s great view of the city from Queens.

Wellllll last night involved us arriving in Newark to get our rental. We stayed the night there and hit up a little taco truck on the side of the road. woke up early this oring and went to Cooperstown. Ate a pizzeria along the main street then drove back to lower Manhattan late this evening. Walk around a good chunk of China Town

Decided to eat at Kat's Delicatessen. Which was bomb.com for a pastrami sandwich. Then once we got back to the hotel my gf and I peeked around for a bit and grabbed a few beers at a place called La Flava. Nothing special but good way to wind down the day.

Seeing 9/11 bright and early tomorrow along with the museums.

Day2 involved us all getting up super early to arrive at ground zero to view the memorial. Anndddd we had about 1hr delay sin e we took the subway the wrong direction  so we had some bickering. Not gon a lie the exhibit gave me a little bit of anxiety but it worth seeing. Bit of an overcast day so seeing Freedom tower was a bit difficult. After that we headed down to wallstreet and out to Lady Liberty and Ellis Island and skies cleared for a bit so that allowed for some oK pics. Hit up a little food truck, it was terrible sadly, which only made me more excited for supper.

With the weather putting a damper on things with as much as its been raining the last few hours we went to Grand Central Station. Poked around there for a bit, didn't realize the size of it all and also viewed the Chrysler building. Made our way back through the subway and had some Chinese food and Icecream on the way. Cant remember the names but it was fairly good. Mixed banana and chocolate icecream which was delicious.

Now I'm sitting in the hotel recouping from just over 7miles of walking along with hoping the Warriors pull off another W.
