MasAyinde
I was reading over the instructions for installing the Spec B steering wheel controls, and the guy was installing it using a P-201UH. I believe that this is the reason that new wires had to be run, because looking at the 2007 wiring diagram with the P-204UH, there doesn't seem to be any need to run those wires because the connection already exists. Has anyone installed the SWAC in a 2007 before that can attest to this?

SVXdc
If your 2007 did not have audio SWCs from the factory, a segment of the SWC wires is missing between the steering column and the 8-pin i85 harness plug. I cover that in more detail in trabbic's thread. 2008 and 2009 Legacy/Outback models (where Subaru switched to a different steering wheel, with the cruise buttons on the right hand spoke) are completely pre-wired between the wheel and i85. MasAyinde
I actually got it working with the help of some of your posts in other threads. I'm now running a 2008 STI steering wheel with working audio and cruise controls
