DAMD wagon kit with a sedan ?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm wondering if this kit ( especially the front bumper ) http://www.damd.co.jp/products/subaru/legacy01_bm/images/photo01Big.jpg

can be used with my european ( ? ) 2005 sedan

Subaru-Legacy_3.0_R-2008-1280-02.jpg

Seems possible looking the 2 pictures BUT i guess it is maybe not as easy ;)

thanks by advance

I'm sure it can...it may or may not need a different front bumper crash beam but it looks like it would bolt right up. Not sure if I agree with the styling though:)
I put something here like all the cool people, except there's nothing cool to put here.

If that second pic is your actual car and not a stock picture of a USDM facelifted Legacy it looks like it will be more than just a front bumper/beam. You will also need JDM headlights and mounting brackets, JDM fenders, and JDM fender liners.

We speak about the large metal body part around the wheel ? sorry I'm french :p

if right I won't change it because I can't weld so I'm stuck :icon_cry:

There should not be a difference between yours and the jdm one. You are a closer match to the jdm one then the USDM one. If the damd kit is ver A-C youll be fine.

DAMD kit is for D-F, headlights are a dead give away.

I've seen many times A-C or D-F : what does it designate ?

My head light don't bother me I can keep them, the JDM ones are cool but if not easy to change or find ...

A-C is prefacelift D-F is facelift

Pre facelift has the sharp angle on the bottom outer of the headlights and the facelift went with a rounded style. Your car is A-C so you definately need more than just the DAMD components unless they make one for prefacelift.

Have a look round on japanparts.com

Just make sure you choose the A-C option when going through the car list

There it is with the prefacelift option already selected

Front end is identical for the wagons and sedans so you can just get the kit that does the front end and not the rear.

Looks allgood to me. Has the circle for the bumper. But the line for side skirt extension, so it must not mount to the 3.0r side skirts correctly which is why the kit ones don't say it works either

I'm very surprised to see rear wheels not vertical ??? how the tire don't be "destroyed" quickly ???

I've seen many other cars pictures with unvertical rear wheels

Its a life style choice sadly.

Didn't Nitto make tires a few years back that had a different rubber compound so the tires wouldn't wear so fast on the inside.

But yea, it's a choice based on life style. It's not for me.
