stikiller
What can cause my flex plate to rub on the engine bell housing? I've looked at the casting and couldn't find where it is rubbing. Only solution I can think of is to grind a couple of the casting ribs down but I would like to know the cause of it if possible. Any thoughts or experience with this? Max Capacity
The plate must not be seated correctly on the crank shaft. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. stikiller
Yeah I don't know I think it was unless the big washer ring that goes around the crank that was on the torque converter side is supposed to be on the crank side?
Max Capacity
I'm not really up on how 5eat's go together. It doesn't make sense to put the washer behind the flex plate, the washer should go under the bolt heads. I gather your doing this with the engine out of the car ? Step back for a minute, look things over...it should be something simple. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).
