psucaptainkickass
I just cleaned my car this past weekend, and I noticed that I get these streaks on the driver and passenger side windows when I lower and then raise the windows. Anyone know what this is from? I tried cleaning dusting off the feltish part on top of the door where the window comes out of, that helped a bit, but now its back. If this felt area simply a magnet for window streaking materials?
Slickvic
Have you tried cleaning the the felt strip with a cotton rag dipped in rubbing alcohol? Or you could also use window cleaner on the rag.
JBLU24
i get some streaks too(like 2, 2 inch wide streaks) i think thats from the adjustment thingies that keep the window from being too loose in the track
CDubbs
I got those streaks on my wifes 04 wrx wagon and my 00 2.5rs. Methinks jblu is correct on this one, annoying part of subaru frameless windows. No, the name has nothing to do with bragging about 20 inch wheels... robinasu
The rubber seals don't block direct sprays from the hose very well.. I even got a soapy streak last time I washed!
sonicsuby
I've never had a car that didn't have this problem.
daNattyFatty
I've never had a car that didn't have this problem. my explorer and integra did not have this problem. the legacy is the first vehicle that this has happened in.
emulous
I think this is common on all Subaru's I see it on WRX's all the time and my '01 2.5RS did the same. Pretty much stemming from the framless windows and the support they need inside the doors, IMO.
LIZARD
The rubber seals don't block direct sprays from the hose very well.. I even got a soapy streak last time I washed! This happens to most vehicles with frameless windows. Stage2.5376, TDC ProTune, blah blah blahhhh and....Alky/H20 injection

psucaptainkickass
Well now it has tiny streaks...tons of them ranging in sizes... all in the same direction...i think it has to do with that felt molding or what not because that's the only place I can really see getting dirty enough to put streaks on my window. CDubbs
Yeah typically with the subaru frameless it is one or two 2" strips. If its a bunch of tiny ones you are probably dead on about the liner.
