wraedeohed
Hello good people, Good any one of you fine ladies and gents point me in the direction of a walk-through or DIY of replacing the the rear-view camera? It'd be much appreciated.
FAILBOT
If I had one on mine I could do that for you. Unfortunately I don't. Are you trying to just do an oem replacement or replace with aftermarket?
GTEASER
It should be pretty straight forward. Pop the trunk, remove the pop-its for the inside trunk trim, unplug, unbolt, remove, install new in reverse order. wraedeohed
OEM, I think I just need the camera module replaced. The trigger works and I get all the on screen proximity lines, but no image. Sent from my XT1096 using Tapatalk
wraedeohed
Any idea where I can find a replacement camera module? I've checked eBay and Amazon, but I'm not really sure which will work. Sent from my XT1096 using Tapatalk
GTEASER
If you have the OEM camera easiest solution would be to replace it with another OEM one, otherwise you have to get into changing connectors, etc. GTEASER's 2012 Legacy GT - Sold GTEASER's 2009 XTeaser - Sold GTEASER's 1992 Legacy SS - Sold
FAILBOT
Salvage yard or dealership would be my best guess.
cww516
It may have also just come unplugged or have a loose/damaged wire or terminal, pretty sure the lines are added in by the head unit rather than by the camera. Could be worth jiggling some wires before you go and buy a replacement.
