hippyturtle
I have a 2005 5EAT LGT Wagon with a brand new block build...I just finished the break in period and have noticed one thing has just occured. Usually when I'm taking off from a stop the throttle could be at 25% depressed but could go to around 75% without any RPM change...Almost like the throttle sensor isn't acting..It catches itself and in a way launches itself...I'm had the P2138 code and previous to the build it would lose all throttle response and just idle...I haven't had the issue since I got the car back, but I really seem to think it could be the sensor..Anyone have advice on how to approach this problem? Anything to look at when datalogging?
quick4dr
clean your pedal sensor, if not replace it. Also check your throttle body for carbon build up, that could be causing throttle plate sticking
JmP6889928
Pedal sensor sounds like the culprit to me. Know of 2 other people with your same symptoms. Find someone with a known good one to try.
